Tanssiklubi Star ry is a DanceSport club located in Helsinki (Konala), Finland. We offer high-quality training for ballroom and latin dancers of all ages and levels. Our community includes everyone from beginners taking their first steps to internationally successful competitive couples. Our goal is to provide a welcoming, encouraging and professional environment where everyone can enjoy and develop their dancing.
New to dancing or new to Finland?
Everyone is welcome at Star — beginners and advanced dancers alike, whether you are new to Finland or have lived here for years.
Most classes are taught in Finnish, but our teachers are happy to guide you in English whenever needed. Whether you want to learn the basics, return to dancing or continue your competitive journey, we will help you find the right group.

Free Practice & Private Lessons – Studio Rules
Free practice and private lessons are allowed whenever the studio is not reserved in the studio calendar.

Both the Large Studio (Iso sali) and the Small Studio (Pieni sali) have their own calendars.
Private Lessons
- The studio fee is paid by the teacher, not the student
- Students may warm up 15 minutes before a private lesson
- Students may cool down 15 minutes after a private lesson
Free Practice
- At all other times, students must purchase a free practice pass
- The pass must be bought in advance from Star’s online shop
- Choose the time period that best fits your training needs
